Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is a water-soluble vitamin that is responsible for wide variety of bodily functions, including blood cells formation, optimal brain function and healthy nervous system.
As our bodies cannot store vitamin B6, it has to be obtained from our diet on a daily basis. Common food sources include organ meats, chicken, eggs, fish, carrots and beans. Symptoms of a vitamin B6-deficiency include anemia, low energy level, headaches, sore tongue, and skin rashes.
