Thai Breakfast Rice Soup with Prawn and Minced Chicken (Khao Tom) Recipe
A meal staple in Thailand, Khao Tom is a familiar comfort food that is widely eaten as a breakfast dish.
Ingredients
- 1 packet Xndo Zero Rice
- 2 large prawns, deveined
- 50gm minced chicken (can use pork as well)
- 4 sliced ginger, cut into strips
- A sprig of parsley or coriander
- A dash of pepper
- 350ml of chicken stock
- 3 teaspoon fish sauce
- A pinch of salt
- 1-2 teaspoon of oil
Directions:
- Add oil and ginger to the wok and fry till fragrant.
- Add minced chicken and prawn in.
- Add chicken stock and let it boil.
- When boiling, add Xndo Zero Rice in.
- Let it boil for 2-3mins before adding in fish sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Garnish with parsley or coriander and serve.
