Colostrum
Colostrum, also known as 'first milk', is a high-protein breast milk rich in nutrients and natural antibodies that all mammalian mothers produce within the first few days after giving birth.
Colostrum contains white blood cells to help support a strong immunity in order to fight against flu and infections. It also helps prevent constipation in babies and protects them against jaundice. It is often termed as baby's superfood.
Not just for babies, colostrum is beneficial for individuals of any ages who have weakened immunity too as it is rich in immunoglobulins, which helps to destroy foreign substances such as bacteria. Colostrum has also gained popularity among sports people because like whey protein, it is also rich in protein that helps improve athletic performance.
